ABOUT ALEX
Alex McMurray is an expert in Talent, Top Team Performance, Leadership Development and Capability Building. Alex spent over a decade in management consulting, including the last six years working at McKinsey & Company where she helped clients deal with difficult transformations, cultural changes and strategic initiatives while focusing on the human element of success. While at McKinsey Alex facilitated programs across North America and Europe both internally and for clients. Alex also worked with clients to build at-scale capability building programs to enable individuals and teams to thrive in change.
Alex has worked across industries including electric power, chemicals, mining, oil and gas, insurance, professional services and banking on topics ranging from operations and productivity to strategy to organization design.
Alex is also a passionate community leader and gives back by spending time on women's leadership development for undergrad university students in Canada. In 2016, Alex received the Ivey School of Business Emerging Leader Award for her commitment to Diversity & Inclusion at McKinsey.
Alex has her MBA with distinction from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University in Ontario, Canada. Prior to achieving her MBA, Alex was part of TransCanada Pipelines and Deloitte's Strategy and Operations Consulting Practice.
Alex is an avid outdoors enthusiast who loves living in Calgary close to the Rocky Mountains where she loves to explore on her skis or bike with her husband, Cameron.
